Dining in the Dark is a concept that quickly gained buzz in LA in a series of special events. Now a regular weekend event at the Hyatt, it provides guests with an opportunity to do just what it says: eat in the pitch black. This is a three-course meal staffed by sight-impaired servers who are quite used to working without seeing with their eyes. The point is for guests to experience the same sensations and experience food only through taste, smell, and touch. And we hear crunchy foods are regularly incorporated.
