You really can't go wrong with Rockenwagner's baked goods. For me, the piece de resistance (I'd use the German equivalent if I knew it) is the pretzel roll, which is so good that I've found I prefer eating it "plain." If Culver City is a trek, keep an eye out at your local farmer's market - they hit quite a few of 'em around LA.
