Located in a strip mall in Hollywood, this legendary scoop shop is run by an amiable family and has a lovely selection of Middle Eastern sorbets and ice creams, like the delicately floral orange blossom, rosewater and saffron flavors. Mashti's also offers an array of more traditional standards like peanut butter cup and cookies n' cream, as well as non-dairy options like a soy-based rosewater flavor and "herbal snow", which is an icy, fruity sorbet laced with threads of crunchy rice noodles. It ain't Baskin Robbins, which is why we like it.
