I've eaten at Cube about 10 times this year. Love the food and the atmosphere, and the servers are always friendly and pleasant. HOWEVER, I just had the worst customer service experience.
A group of five friends and I were looking for a place to eat tonight, and I suggested Cube. I called and made a reservation, for which I had to give them a credit card number, which I find annoying, but okay. When the group increased to eight people, I called Cube to let them know and they informed me that in that case there would be a $50 per person minimum. Now, one of the reasons I chose Cube to begin with is that it's very reasonably priced, and I figured everyone could get out of there for potentially $25-30 each. So I told the woman that that wouldn't work for us. After checking with the manager, she informed me that they could make it a $35 minimum. Again, that won't work for us. Some may eat that much, but I'm not about to guarantee that everyone will. So she happily said, "So, do you want me to cancel the reservation?" I was dumbfounded. "Really? You're going to just let a party of eight go, just like that?" To which she said, "Well, I'm sorry, but that is our policy." Apparently they've had a lot of groups coming in and abusing the BYOB policy and not eating, which I can understand is frustrating, but really, to treat customers like that is just unconscionable. So with no further ado she cancelled the reservation. It's sad, because I love the restaurant, but now I don't ever want to go back there.
So, I'd recommend eating there if you're a group of no more than four. In that case you will be treated well and will have a great dining experience, I'm sure.

Cube is one of my favorite spots. Iit's casual, the food is always delicious and super fresh and you can BYO wine. Sample the cheeses - they do a really nice job presenting them and pairing them with breads and fruits. It's a really great spot for a fun group or an intimate date.

It was almost 10 p.m. on a friday night and lo, no room at any restaurants near by. As my boyfriend and i were driving aimlessly around on La Brea we saw the red and white sign and decided it was a go. Luckily there was room at the bar, which usually is not the case but it was fourth of july weekend, and a wonderful waiter named Adam sat us down and brought us some guyere cheese. All i can say is Cube and I have been inseparable ever since. All the cheeses there are fantastic! The potatoe gnocchi is to die for, so is their mozzarella and truffle oil pizza. The food is paired perfectly well. Cube is BYOB so go buy a bottle of wine, grab some friends, and dig in!!
