Melograno's menu is inspired by Chef Alberto Lazzarino’s hometown of Piemonte in Northern Italy. Piemonte’s direct proximity to France has resulted in a rich, elaborate approach to Italian cuisine, accented by truffles and complemented by the wines of the region. The Hollywood location for this upscale restaurant seems a bit unlikely but it's just part of the continuing trend of bringing serious eats to the boulevard: Lift and Katsuya have done quite well for themselves. Pastas, lamb, fish, and the popular nettle gnocchi are on the menu, as well as a carefully-edited wine list.
