First class dining with stunning atmosphere and surperb service

This place was a wonderful surprise. We arrived and went the third floor overlooking the airport and stepped into an incredibly designed restaurant that you would expect in New York or Las Vegas, not Long Beach.

We started with the Tartar and their version of escargot, which where both very unique and flavorful. We then had a pasta course which was a series of Lobster purses in a Lobster cream sauce which was fantastic. For dinner, I had the Peking duck with gnocchi in a Dan Blue sauce that was the best duck I have ever had. My companion had the double cut pork chop which comes to the table flaming and was very moist and wonderful.

The service throughout the evening was spot on, not overwhelming but always available. The wine director introduced us to a wonderful bottle of Italian wine that matched our meal perfectly.

We finished it by sharing the cream Brule, which was actually a series of three flavors in a wonderful presentation.

I learned from our server that no Friday nights they have what they call Friday Night Flights. They offer a flight of wines for tasting and a helicopter flight over the Long Beach Harbor for $50.00. We are definitely going to go back to try that along with more of the wonderful menu!
