Nearly every seat at Yamato's Japanese restaurants have a front row view of the chef - either at the long sushi bar or at one of several smaller sushi bar tables. At its Valencia location, sushi is loaded on a conveyor belt so diners can grab what they want as it passes. The service is friendly, if not a bit absent-minded.
