The perfect comfort food for a hypothetical rainy day in L.A. is BCD's hearty soon-du-bu (tofu stew). Served boiling hot in a stone bowl with traditional Korean side dishes like kimchee, this broth (with your choice of beef, seafood or vegetables) will knock the chill out. But be warned: "comfort" does not equal "contemplative." The milieu is perpetually chatty, if not raucous.
