This Westlake restaurant is sister to the long-running quick-service restaurant in the USC-adjacent Mercado La Paloma that has made die-hard Yucatan cuisine fans out of a lot of Angelenos. The various pibil preparations (that’s meat in annatto, orange juice and spices) are excellent – pibil is a specialty of Yucatan – the the various tamales are good choices as well. This larger restaurant also serves a wide ranges of appetizers and seafood dishes.

"Very Very Good Yucatan Meal"
By rolaids from north hollywood, April 15, 2009
I have tried Cochinita Pibil in many other restaurants and they don't taste nearly as good as it does in Chichen Itza. Would highly recommend this...
