Come For The Big Game, Stay For The Beer Pong?

L.A. doesn't have a perfect sports bar (if we do, PLEASE let me know about it). El Guapo has made some strides with a redesign - the bar used to chew up too much real estate. There are surely better spots for nighttime, non-sport diversions, but El Guapo is a reliable place to watch a game. You know they'll be showing most everything of interest and you know your servers will be on top of things without being in your face. The bar food is not particularly "good"... but it IS good enough to satisfy in the moment, supported by a pitcher of Bud Light or whatever your cheapskate friend just ordered. As for rooting interests, El Guapo caters to Philly boys (and the sporadic gal). So if you like your Sundays filled with schadenfreude and bar fights (and who doesn't?), come and laugh at Eagles fans when their team makes their annual collapse. p.s. If sports aren't your thing, seek refuge at the most famous bar beer pong table in the neighborhood (high praise!)
