This "pearl" of a restaurant sits atop the third floor of El Mercadito. While the other two "rival" restaurants are solely weekend options, La Perla serves up tasty, authentic selections every day—and late into the night. The restaurant's mariachi band performs daily, but the weekends are when the mariachi action kick into high gear with up to three battling bands. A quintessential L.A. experience.
