The Tender team
Call it serendipity or noble prescience: When three dudes decided to set up an unassuming spot in Culver City that reflected their eco-conscious lifestyles, they unexpectedly hit a double boon in the restaurant industry. David Dressler, Matt Lyman and Erik Oberholtzer (seated) met in the stodgy hotel world, and they left together to open Tender Greens in the summer of 2006. Back then, Culver Blvd. had yet to reveal its full potential as a dining destination, and environmentalism was more an inconvenient truth than a trick of the marketing trade. Now that the trends have caught up with them, the Tender Greens team is spreading its Earth-loving ethos one very green salad at a time. The team plans to open two more locations this year, in West Hollywood and San Diego.
