Fête photos: Cupcake Challenge

A cavity waiting to happen

Sunday's first ever Cupcake Challenge brought out record heat and the season's first swarm of sundresses to take on the decadent (dubious? delirious?) task of judging the best from 16 L.A. sweet shops. Samples may have been itty-bitty, but the first dozen quickly took their toll, especially with limitless wine to jack up the sugar rush to our brain. No milk, no coffee or tea to quench our sucrose-laden palate, even the sponsored water went dry halfway through. But none of the happy faces seemed to mind—it was like a XXX-adult Candyland, after all. Here's what we caught before hypoglycemia set in.
