Nothing says 'party' like balloons

Who can resist a birthday bash? Not the thousands of Angelenos who willingly stood out in the scorching October sun to toast Philippe the Original's 100th with a 10-cent French dip. The afternoon's festivities included flying peanuts, (scary) clowns, a barbershop quartet, visits from the USC marching band and Mayor Antonio and, of course, plenty o' grubbing. Couldn't make it to the party? No worries, we're sure Philippe will be around for another 100.
