Ah, summer is here. 'Tis the season for festivals and fairs and fêtes—all manner of ways to celebrate food whilst developing a wicked tan and an equally wicked waistline. Culver City's Taste of the Nation was grander than ever, kicking off the first day of June with a gathering of the city's top restaurants to benefit Share Our Strength to end childhood hunger. The big guns were out—Govind Armstrong, Neal Fraser, Josiah Citrin, Carolynn Spence as well as Iron Chef America's Cat Cora and Top Chef's Antonia Lafoso. And, no, your eyes don't deceive you: That was Kirk Cameron in the house. Holla!
