Love in the LBC

Tracht's
111 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach
Sometimes a romantic getaway is an hour's drive down the 710. (Hey, we don't judge.)
While Suzanne Tracht's namesake offers a familiar chophouse menu, the Long Beach restaurant outshines its older, more-accomplished sibling with a dramatic circular fire pit. Even with a chill in the air, the patio (with a floor heated to 75 degrees) is a seductive place to dine, especially if you like a bit of salty coastal breeze and an idyllic sunset with your porterhouse for two. And if you want what happens in the LBC to stay in the LBC, the Renaissance Hotel is right upstairs.
