The long-awaited Katsuya Hollywood launched with 500 of its closest friends...which also included Mayor Villaraigosa and councilmember Eric Garcetti. As you shall see, it was a bit of a blur for Metromix: a tightfisted list meant just one dinky camera against a throng of scenesters in the swollen space. But the SBE group knows how to throw a party worthy of its historic Hollywood + Vine locale. It's hard to believe, with all the chatter, that this is but the second Katsuya-SBE- Philippe Starck collaboration (Brentwood is the premier enterprise)—but with two more fancy Katsuya outposts set in motion (and a new supper club in the Privilege space), SBE's domination has just about arrived.
