Features: Dubbed Mesa Grande, the wooden centerpiece with low-profile retro stools is conveniently located right next to the bar.
Source: Designed by prominent L.A. architect Josh Schweitzer, who's also married to co-owner Mary-Sue Milliken. London-based design team Su Huntley and Donna Muir created the murals.
Special-occasion dining: Choose one of the lunch, dinner or cocktail "party menus," in which starters and desserts are served family style, and guests can select from a group of entrée options.
Corkage fee: $12.
Cutting fee for BYO birthday cake: $2.50 per person.
Extras: Mesa Grande's days are numbered: the restaurant plans to replace the magnificent piece with tall cocktail tables by mid-2008.
