La Marzocco is the ultimate, the absolute pinnacle, the top-of-the-list star in coffee celebritydom. It's the Bentley of espresso machines, we were told, but this very one at LAMILL? It's the one and only in the world.
Fashioned out of hand-pounded copper, this machine was initially supposed to be one of 80, specially made to commemorate La Marzocco's 80th anniversary. The meticulous craftsmanship took so long and was so much more labor-intensive than planned that production stopped with numero uno, and Silverlake's got it.
