Mo Chica
- Mercado La Paloma
- 3655 S. Grand Ave.
- Los Angeles, CA
- Price range: $ (Under $9)
Housed in the Mercado La Paloma international marketplace and community space, Mo Chica--one of L.A.'s few Peruvian restaurants--is right al hogar (at home). The product of former Sai Sai and Tetsuya chef Ricardo Zarate and Lot 1 chef Mario Orellana, Mo Chica cooks up modern Peruvian fare at reasonable prices. Expect to spend less than $13 on every item on the menu and look for such goodies as daily featured fresh ceviches and produce-infused traditional dishes (think celery heart, cilantro, lemon). Plus, never sampled a Peruvian breakfast? Now's your chance.
