At The Old Spaghetti Factory, a meal isn't considered complete without bread, soup or salad, a beverage and dessert—which all of the entrees include. So how does the Factory accomplish this while keeping prices hovering around the $10 mark? In 1969, founder Gus Dussin came up with the bright idea of opening restaurants in warehouses and other overlooked, but often historical spaces. With less of his funds being applied towards rent and more towards spaghetti, he was able to create a mega-chain of fun, barn-like restaurants that are perfect for parties.
