Tranquility Base Restaurant and Lounge
- Neighborhood: Downtown
- Sky Lofts, Ground Floor
- 801 S. Grand Ave.
- Los Angeles, CA 90017
- 213-404-0588
Residents of Downtown’s Sky Lofts now have a restaurant located on the ground floor to call their very own, but don't expect zen gardens or wandering yogis here. The name Tranquility Base actually refers to the landing site of Apollo 11, which explains the clubbish mood lighting and space-odyssey feel of the interiors. The small plates menu has a little bit of everything—perfect for low-key noshing. It also offers a full bar with house-made mixers and a late-night menu served until 1 a.m. For those that love to brunch, swing by from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday and try the Scotch eggs, Grand Marnier French toast and a pomegranate mimosa—or skip the food all together and hang out by the "build your own bloody Mary" bar.
