Silverlake Lounge

The booze isn't as cheap as it should be at this dark, divey eastside institution, but the live entertainment Monday through Friday (booked by promoter Scott Sterling of The Fold - not to be confused with Metromix's own Scott T. Sterling) features a roster of some of the best indie acts to tour through, or get their start, in town. But on Saturday and Sunday, don't expect any lauded hipster bands to play under the legendary "Salvation" sign: on the weekends, the club is a drag bar catering to a mainly Latino, and flamboyantly transgendered, clientele.
