Lee's Sandwiches embodies the America Dream: starting as a food truck in San Jose in 1980, the family-owned (and now franchised) chain grew to 32 locations throughout the Southwest. A no-frills "take a number" deli approach to ordering, the interior is more cafeteria than restaurant. The appeal is in the food: a combination of Vietnamese tradition and American favorites--all served on fresh-baked baguettes--and a wide variety of smoothies available in surprising flavors like avocado, green bean and lychee.
