In 1996, Argentine ex-pats Horacio Weschler Ferrari and Mario Balul flung wide the doors of this popular Melrose grill. The spacious heated patio is an invitation to linger over $12.95 pitchers of Sangria that evoke unhurried, South American afternoons. At night, vendors selling roses stroll between the tables of starry-eyed couples and spent shoppers. A wide selection of low-fat salads and vegetarian options give a nod to California, while dishes like the meat-laden Lomo Lala's - two grilled Italian sausages, sweetbread, New York steak, skirt steak, a half chicken, and a salad - evoke the owner's home country.
