Open since 1923, this restaurant and live music venue across the street from the Malibu Pier has become a Malibu institution, mainly because there's not much else in the area. Doors open first thing in the morning for breakfast specials named after movie classic movies like Breakfast at Tiffany's (that's steak and eggs -as if Audrey Hepburn ate steak and eggs), but the action doesn't heat up until night when locals come for smoked baby-back ribs and rock 'n roll. Locals usually take over the stage, though big-timers like Kid Rock have been known to play surprise sets.
