For those Angelenos, we know the daily struggle of the eye sore of strip malls. Rambutan Thai is the perfect example of why we should not judge a book by its cover, or restaurant in this case. You would probably miss it if someone did not recommended it to you. The inside is very cozy, which in LA means small. The place can probably house less than 50 people. But, waiting is not a dread. There is a lounge which bamboo and a DJ playing some music, and the drink will keep you entertained. I have been here twice, and the food is very good. I do think it is a bit expensive. I live in San Gabriel Valley and noodles come cheap to me. But, the ambiance is awesome.
