Very similar to an izakaya, Wakasan serves lots of tiny dishes to diners as an accompaniment to beer and sake. Everyone orders omakase, which means the food just keeps coming; no need to order anything. If you don’t manage to finish that bottle of sake you also ordered, it will be kept for you until you return, so that you only have to pay once. As this is home-style food, there may be some unfamiliar dishes, but the cuisine gets generally high marks.
