A franchise that’s hoping to take some of the confusion out of wine buying, WineStyles has come up with their own system for classifying wine. Rather than using the traditional method of sorting wine by varietal (or, sometimes, country of origin), here it’s done by flavor profile. According to WineStyles, flavors fall along eight categories: bold, mellow, fruity (those are the reds), crisp, silky, rich (white wines), nectar, and bubbly. It’s all very egalitarian, and the staff is without attitude.
