Bike riding is not confined to the exotic world of Santa Monica, Venice or other high profile places on the LA area coast line. My path, which is paved takes me along a less exotic water way called the Rio Grande river in southern New Mexico. On it you will encounter the less than beautiful but all enjoying biking as much as the beautiful people of Southern Cal. Ages can range from 4 or 5 years and upwards into the 70's or more. I really get frustrated that you have to live in southern Cal. P.S. I turned down a job with the city of Santa Monica because of prices, for one and headed back to New Mexico. That's the area between Texas and Arizona.
