Remember that girl in high school you and your circle of friends used to make fun of because she dressed so eccentrically? The one you were jealous of because you secretly wished you could throw caution to the wind and gallivant around town in a fun little onesie just like she did? Well, now you finally can. See, she designed this clothing line—now available at Opening Ceremony—and is using it to get back at you and the rest of the Heathers by charging an arm and a leg for it. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again—retail is always the best revenge.
Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony offers a flirty array of daywear—everything from leopard-print ballet flats to high-waisted gingham cigarette pants. It’s clothing cut for a modern-day Laura Petrie, featuring fabrics that look as though they were provided by Betsey Johnson. Did we forget to mention that the Chloë Sevigny in question is the Chloë Sevigny, style icon and indie film actress? We did? Really? Wow. That's so not like us. We usually parade even the most minimally famous people we know around the way starlets do chihuahuas or children they've adopted. Maybe we're getting old. Maybe drinking really does kill brain cells. Maybe we're just subconciously trying to forget that we were part of the "Mean Girls" clique who thought we looked super-fly in camo tees and JNCO jeans at a time when the much cooler Sevigny was shaving her head and wearing items like those in her debut clothing line. This vest/skirt/flat combo, for example, is just one look in the collection that can be worn in Silverlake and beyond. Keep clicking to see more!
