Ryan Kwanten
So Jason's found God—or at least church—this season. How long is that going to last?
For a good portion of the season. At least two-thirds of the season.
Doesn’t that pit Jason against his sister?
Essentially, yes. He’s not aware of that. He’s not aware of what he’s gotten himself into. He thinks he’s just finding himself and filling the void. And it’s only as little trickles of information keep coming to him that he realizes how dire the situation is for the vampires and for his sister.
Jason’s really changed from the sex-crazed V-juice drinker of last season?
He’s all buttoned up with nowhere to go. It’s a different Jason. He’s trying to be a good little boy, and half succeeding. He never quite succeeds at anything—that’s the beauty of Jason.
What are you excited about this season?
Just the fact that we now have an audience. We kind of knew we had something special, but we didn’t know how an audience would take to it. But now that they like it, we’ve got to appeal to that audience we really have.
Do you get hit on even more now that you have so many fans?
I don’t really go out. I’m too much of a homebody. I work... and stay at home.
