Report this commentMy first taste for curry began in Hawaii back in 2003, when I visited this Japanese-run curry chain called Coco-ichibanya (if my memory serves me). I had a mild cold at the time, but the strong, spicy flavor of the food started to break it up fast! I have been looking for something similar in the mainland ever since. This restaurant and the Hurry Curry of Tokyo just across the street is the closest Coco-ichibanya experiences I could find.
