Imagine pounding five shots of tequila and then sitting down to watch a David Lynch film. That's what this hip Mexican bar and restaurant is like, with dim red lights, black-velvet paintings, Spanish B-movie wallpaper, and mounted bull heads. El Carmen attracts a good looking crowd and, though the Mexican fare is good, people really here to get drunk -and with pages and pages of tequila offerings, it's not a difficult goal to achieve.
