The Writer's Bar doesn't actually attract very many writers, unless you consider screenwriters who camp out here before the Academy Awards. What it does attract is a huge Industry and monied crowd thirsty for well-made cocktails and that hushed-but-busy vibe. (Those with really thick wallets indulge in caviar, available at the bar until 11 p.m.) The crowd is surprisingly young too, proving that young hot shots can have more on their mind than just getting wasted with skanks on the Sunset Strip.
