This used book and record store has been crowning the Franklin strip since 1979. Once you get used to the dust, you'll notice the dizzying selection of books and records, almost all of them in stellar condition. While the LP prices might be a tad high (they've got to compete with Amoeba, after all), their books are the best bargain in the city. Look to find quality paperback fiction (Amis to Zola) for around $4 a piece. Also, you never know who might be stopping by. We've seen an odd assortment of celebrities stumble through their aisles.
