The kind of LA institution that boasts its own Wikipedia entry, Apple Pan has been serving up mouth-watering hickory burgers and pies at its simple horseshoe counter since 1947. Its shack-like wood and brick exterior looks like the victim of a time warp - and a shrinking machine - next to the neighboring bohemoth of the Westside Pavillion. For dessert, the apple pie is as de rigeur as the name suggests.
