Echo Park newcomer 15 has been accused of encroaching on the neighborhood with its pricey, fussy fair, but here’s a peace offering:  Daily from 5 pm-6:30 pm, you can snag a 3 course tasting menu for $15.  The selections change weekly, but the first course might include a choice of tomato bisque, field green salad with roasted shallot dressing, or mac ‘n cheese.  Move on to your choice of, perhaps, the 15 burger with gruyere, pappardelle pasta with wild mushroom ragout, or seared salmon over fresh mango.  A chef’s choice dessert is included, too.  Sure sounds better than the early bird special at IHOP.
